CONSTANTINE'S ARCH
Hello! I'm going to splaing to you what is Constantine's arch.
In Roman Empire there were build lots of arches. They were build
to representated the vistors of the romas. Here you have some information.
It is a triumphal arch and is located between the Colosseum and the Palatine Hill,
in Rome. The arch mesures 21 meters high and 25'7 meters wide. It has three arches,
the central one is taller and wider and the other two arches (they measure the same).
The short part of the monument is made of marble and the top is made of bricks and
some marble. It's the most modern arche that it was build in the Ancient Rome.
Constantine ordered to the roman people built the arch on October the 28 in the
year 312. It was build to celebrate their victory angaist Magnecio. It has an
inscription written in bronze letters and they can still read. The top has some
sculptures and they are very well conservation.

THE PARTHENON
Hello!I'm Lola, I'm going to talk about the Parthenon. If you are reading this probably is because you read our historic book. I will that you have fun and learn new things!
The Parthenon is a Greek temple, it was build around the 440a.C. It measures approximately 69'5m long 10'4m 30'9m tall. Inside, there is a sculpture made of bronze for the goddess Athena and it measures 9m high. The Greeks built temples on the top of the hills because they didn't know to build stairs (the Romans invented), in the picture you can see that is very tall.
The Parthenon is built in the city of Athens (ls a very important city like Sparta). It was built in honor of the goddess Athena (goddess of wisdom) which is the protector of the city. The columns that support the roof are Dorics (they haven't got decoration).

Hola! En sociales acabo de dar el Imperio Bizantino y
aquí os dejo su correspondiente trabajo. Trata sobre Teodora ¿os
suena el nombre?
Teodora nació en el 500 y murió en el 548, era la esposa de Justiniano, un hombre muy importante en el Imperio Bizantino y que es posible que os suene. Su padre era entrenador de osos y su madre bailarina y actriz, también tenía dos hermanas.
Teodora trabajó en un burdel y también se convirtió en actriz, asi era como se ganaba la vida. Viajo por lugares del norte de África pero con 22 años regresó a Contantinopla y comenzó una nueva vida. Trabajó como hilandera en una casa cerca de palacio. Su belleza, ingenio y su carácter espontáneo y divertido atrajeron la atención de Justiniano, que quiso casarse con ella. Pero no pudo porque había una ley que impedía que el se casase con una actriz. A su tío le parecia bien que se casase con Teodora, pero a su mujer no, a si que en el525 cuando su esposa murió, su tío JustinoI eliminó esa ley y así Teodora y Justiniano se pudieron casar.
Teodora gobernó el imperio junto a su marido. Tenía mucha popularidad y poder y ella y su esposo eran de la iglesia ortodoxa. Es una mujer muy importante en el Imperio Romano y no solo por tener mucho poder y ser gobernadora. Si no porque fue una gran figura femenina ya que muchas de las leyes que creó iban destinadas a aumentar los derechos de las mujeres.
Teodora murio el 28 de junio de 548 de un cáncer (no se sabe de que tipo). Su marido vivió hasta el 565. Su cuerpo fue enterrado en la Iglesia de los Sntos Apóstoles, en Contantinopla.
